Independently review, evaluate, and analyze insurance submissions to determine appropriate market placement strategies
Develop and maintain relationships with carrier partners and retail agents to facilitate successful placement outcomes
Negotiate pricing, coverage terms, conditions, and binding authority with carriers and underwriting partners
Provide consultative guidance to retail agents regarding coverage structure, market appetite, and risk solutions
Analyze underwriting information and identify potential exposure concerns, coverage gaps, or market limitations
Exercise independent judgment in evaluating risk acceptability and recommending coverage solutions
Coordinate and manage the placement process for new and renewal business
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and carrier representatives to resolve complex coverage or underwriting issues
Monitor market trends, underwriting appetite changes, and carrier requirements impacting business placement strategies
Ensure compliance with carrier guidelines, underwriting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
Prioritize workflow and manage assigned accounts independently while meeting service and production expectations
Support business development initiatives and contribute to retention and growth objectives
Requirements
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion regarding insurance placement strategy and underwriting matters
Ability to independently manage competing priorities and make decisions affecting client and carrier relationships
Strong analytical and consultative problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Have strong communication and computer skills
Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, and have excellent time management skills
Education/Experience:
Required: High School diploma, current and active Property and Casualty Producer License
Preferred: Two or more years of College and completion of some insurance courses such as INS21, CIC, CISR, AU, or CPCU
Working knowledge of the ISO Commercial General Liability form, preferred
Working knowledge of differences in property forms between Basic, Broad, and Special, preferred
Working knowledge of the Property/Casualty insurance industry, preferred

Job Summary:
The Associate Broker is responsible for managing and servicing assigned brokerage accounts through strategic market analysis, carrier relationship management, risk evaluation, and client advisory support. This role independently evaluates insurance submissions, negotiates coverage terms with carriers, develops placement strategies, and provides consultative guidance to retail agents and internal stakeholders.
