The DI Ultrasound Technologist works as a member of the inter-professional health care team providing their professional expertise to internal/external customers and providing excellent patient care by following the guidelines and standards established by Sonography Canada and the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
Responsibilities
Perform general, obstetrical, small parts, and peripheral vascular ultrasound exams.
Deliver safe, accurate, and patient-centered care in alignment with professional standards.
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure exceptional care experiences.
Maintain continuing education requirements (25 CME credits per year) to support professional growth.
Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
What you bring:
1-2 years of current experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (preferred).
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program, recognized by Sonography Canada.
Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
25 CME'S required per year as per CMRITO through continuing education
Ability to perform general, obstetrical, small parts, and peripheral vascular ultrasound exams.
Professional liability insurance through Sonography Canada or OAMRS (strongly recommended).
Demonstrated excellence in communication (written and verbal).
Strong problem-solving and assessment abilities.
Proven teamwork, customer service focus, and individual leadership skills.
