To grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Leading the new supplier mentoring effort during the supplier's first year of business with Toro. Including familiarizing the supplier with Toro's business processes, performance expectations, and use of Toro Connection/SAP Ariba (sourcing portal). Conduct RFQ (request for quotation) and apply TCO (total cost ownership) methodology to analyze globally sourced parts. Provide key communications and coordination of NPD sourcing, Toro plants, engineering, sourcing, quality, VA/VE team, and suppliers during new project development stage. Provide written and oral interpretation support in both English/Typical Indian Official Language Act as the liaison, as needed, between potential suppliers and Toro sourcing, engineering, marketing and manufacturing plant(s). Review suppliers' performance and manage supplier relationships. Promote a long-term Toro-supplier partnership based on the understanding of mutual benefit. Identify and develop new sources of material and finished parts to meet the Toro cost reduction goal. Monitor & improve key supplier KPIs OTD, Quality, Cost, Compliance etc. Attending manufacturing industries shows and collect useful formation with close attention to development trends. Provide recommendations of new manufacturing processes, techniques, alternative materials and involve in DFM (design for manufacturing) review, process optimization with relevant departments if needed. What do you need? To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering or related field. MBA preferred. Minimum of 8 years' experience in global sourcing. Strong analytical abilities, research skills, negotiations and presentation skills. Understanding of enterprise purchasing and planning systems such as SAP and business warehouse. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Multi-commodity (preferably Steel, Plastics, Rubber, Electrical) experience. Working knowledge in ISO9000/TS 16949, lean manufacturing, failure analysis, quality planning, auditing, failure mode effect analysis and reliability analysis is preferred.
