This position is full or part time, 20%-100% FTE This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Associate Professor (CHS), or Assistant Professor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist. Key Job Responsibilities: Clinical track duties: The incumbent will be expected to provide clinical patient care, admitting and managing hospital inpatients. The incumbent will also provide medical consultation within the hospital; teach residents, medical students, fellows in relation to patients on the hospitalist service; and participate in system-wide quality improvement projects at UW Health approved locations. CHS track duties: The incumbent will be expected to provide clinical patient care, admitting and managing hospital inpatients. The incumbent will also provide medical consultation within the hospital; teach residents, medical students, fellows in relation to patients on the hospitalist service; and participate in system-wide quality improvement projects at UW Health approved locations. Participation in research endeavors of the Division expected. The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
