Responsible for taking X-rays of areas being examined
Provide the images to doctors and other medical personnel
Communicate with the rest of the care team as needed

Registered in more than one modality (e.g. may be registered in CT, MR, Mammography, Bone Densitometry, etc.)

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
Diagnostic Equipment (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the use of diagnostic tools in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Performs and has knowledge of advance modalities and has at least 2 years of experience. Performs a variety of technical procedures to ensure that a good independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis is being utilized. Assumes responsibility for designated areas, personnel and procedures, as required. Reports directly to the Asst. Director of Imaging. Is accountable for the delivery of efficient, high quality services to the patient, physician and all customers while providing high quality exams within the protocols and guidelines set by the Department of Imaging Services. Rad. Tech II shall be responsible for maintaining and stocking of supplies, rooms and equipment or other assigned duties. He/She has the responsibility of protection and safety to themselves, the patients and co-workers. He/She is expected to maintain high standards of technical competence and participate in any specific training that may be needed. The Rad. Tech II Technologist participates in on-call coverage for the modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement.
