Plans, schedules and coordinates detailed phases of a project.
Participates in and promotes process improvements within assigned areas.
Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices, but includes a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, non-standard materials and difficult coordination requirements.
Provides direct support of sales and development by sharing information in the form of proposals and design reviews
Independently writes and performs component tests.

Complete understanding of component function and testing requirements. Understands manufacturing processes, drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerances as well as shop standards and procedures and how they impact designs
May guide level 1 and 2 Engineers.
Other Qualifications:
4 Year Bachelors BS degree AND 4+ years equivalent experience
International - Bachelors BS/University degree equivalent by Country AND 4+ years equivalent experience
Previous electromagnetic experience preferred:
Working knowledge of EM design principles with devices such as motors (BLDC and/or AC), permanent magnet alternators (PMAs), and/or position sensors (resolvers, RVDTs, and/or LVDTs).
EM simulation and analysis with tools such as MagNet or Maxwell, MotorCAD, and/or E-Machine Design.
Motor or sensor testing, including test setup (motor drive, dynamometer, DAQ, etc.), tooling design (fixtures, couplings, etc.) and data analysis.
