Let us introduce the role The Craft Machinist Practitioner will carry out maintenance on tooling to support the business deliverables whilst working with Safety, Security and Quality policies. Key Accountabilities: Ensure that all processing and handling operations are completed to support programme operations and to approved operating procedures, safety cases and legislative requirements by adherence to the regulations laid down in Procedural Guides, Work Instructions, and Safe Systems of work relevant to the work area. Identify any areas of concern or serious shortcomings which affect operations to Line/Task Management. Comply with all safety, environmental, fire, quality, security standards, regulations and legislation by maintaining and promoting high personal standards and behaviours in environment, safety, health security and quality and be a great team player. Undertake the duties of any other craft operators, appropriate to the grade and training, as required / directed. Additional accountabilities specific to the site, which if required will be confirmed at the time of appointment. Who are we looking for? Successful completion of a craft disciplined apprenticeship (preferably in maintenance, toolmaking, machining and/or engineering). Successful completion of Level 3 craft disciplined qualifications (examples being NVQ, ONC, City & Guilds etc.). Perform all processing and handling operations as necessary to meet outputs. Support processing activities which may include: Reading and controlling the process and ensuring no deviations from approved procedures. Undertaking the mechanical operations required to complete the process. Be competent to use a range of equipment, hand tools, measuring equipment and machinery. Perform crane / slinger duties. Carry out tooling modifications, when required in accordance with approved procedures. Perform tooling maintenance tasks as required in accordance with approved procedures.
