Additional Information
The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota and MPhysicians invites applications for a full-time academic epileptologist to join a nationally recognized, rapidly expanding Level IV comprehensive epilepsy center. Our program offers the full spectrum of advanced epilepsy care, including robotic stereo-EEG (ROSA), laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), radiofrequency ablation, and comprehensive neuromodulation (DBS, RNS, VNS), supported by clinical 7 Tesla MRI and advanced multimodal imaging.
We are establishing a first-of-its-kind institute dedicated to epilepsy care, focused on advancing precision, personalized, and preventative therapies. At the core of this effort is a dedicated Epilepsy Neuromodulation Unit focused on physiology-guided therapy. Subspecialty programs in women's epilepsy, late-onset epilepsy, and sleep-epilepsy biology are embedded within a highly collaborative environment spanning neurosurgery, engineering, pharmacology, and translational neuroscience, alongside a growing clinical trials portfolio in cellular therapies and advanced diagnostics.
This position offers practice at the forefront of high-acuity epilepsy care within a rigorous and well-supported academic environment. Clinical duties include ~10 weeks of inpatient EMU/ICU service annually, with outpatient clinics at St. Louis Park and the University Clinical and Surgery Center. We seek candidates committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and scholarship.
