About the role
Job Description Summary GE Vernova is seeking an experienced ITR Solutioning Gas Turbine System Architect to lead integrated controls solutioning for complex power generation projects. This role is ideal for a systems-minded controls leader who can bridge customer requirements, proposal strategy, technical risk, product alignment, and execution readiness across the full project lifecycle. In this role, you will shape executable controls solutions for integrated applications spanning Gas Turbine, Electrical, Grid, SIL, Integration and Operability. You will serve as a key technical leader from solutioning through bid, sell, execute (project release), and learn, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into robust architecture, clear scope boundaries, well-defined interfaces, actionable cost and schedule inputs, and practical execution strategies. The purpose of this role is to apply deep Gas Power Controls domain knowledge, along with global and regional customer and EPC experience, proactively and consistently to improve customer experience while reducing risk and expanding margin. This position plays a critical role in leading top-level project execution strategy during the ITO phase, enabling strong ITO-to-OTR transition, supporting execution teams as a solution to SME, strengthening continuous improvement, NPI readiness, productization, and delivery scalability in a growing volume environment. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Lead Gas Turbine controls solutioning during bid, release, and transition phases for complex power plant projects. Apply deep controls domain expertise and customer/EPC understanding to develop technically sound, commercially executable, and customer-focused integrated controls solutions. Support application engineering by translating non-standard customer specifications, compliance requirements, and technical requests into executable controls architecture, scope, cost, and schedule impacts. Define scope boundaries between standard solutions, customer specials, CRs, MFs, REQ NPI content, and new product or technology requirements. Lead top-level project execution strategy during the ITO phase to reduce technical risk, improve proposal quality, and minimize margin erosion. Drive early controls risk identification, mitigation planning, and residual risk communication across project bid and launch phases. Support engineering should-cost analysis, base cost alignment, pre-costed options, MF strategy, REQ NPI cost inputs, custom requirement cost inputs, and risk mitigation cost definition. Support Application Engineering, Regional Engineering, Sales, Commercial, and Proposal teams with technical clarifications, standard work guidance, collateral, and solution recommendations. Lead consultative technical discussions with customers and EPCs when requirements are complex, ambiguous, non-standard, or require alternative solution paths. Align controls solutions with product strategy across controls, accessories, and digital offerings, identifying customer requirement gaps and opportunities that should influence future product development. Support NPI and REQ NPI strategy, including gap identification, prioritization alignment, productization support, and cut-in risk/cost alignment for project deployment. Lead ITO-to-OTR transition and project launch with clear requirements flow down, documented assumptions, aligned engineering deliverables, defined interfaces, and mitigated risk. Support OTR execution teams as an SME for customer queries, technical actions, special scope, product cut-in support, and architect-level issue resolution. Drive Application Readiness and Execution Readiness for scalability supporting increased business volume. Capture lessons learned from customer feedback, project execution, and OTR feedback to improve future bids, standards, product strategy, and execution readiness. Drive continuous improvement through process standardization and structured operating rhythms, including launch/process review disciplines and kaizen-oriented improvements. Help maintain and improve engineering quoting and schedule tools that support consistent, scalable, and accurate controls solutioning. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. >15 years' experience in turbine controls, power plant controls and integration, Strong knowledge of integrated controls systems and interfaces across some of the following: GT, ST, HRSG, BOP, Electrical, Grid, SIL, DCS, excitation, LCI, HMI, network/cyber, and plant operations. Demonstrated ability to identify interface risks, system dependencies, technology gaps, and operability impacts across cross-functional integrated plant solutions. Strong customer-facing communication and consultative problem-solving skills. Experience translating ambiguous or non-standard requirements into executable technical sc
