Role Summary In this role, the Business Consultant will have Regulatory, Systems and Operational execution & oversight responsibilities in support of American Century's Business Retirement Solutions (BRS) division. You will be responsible for managing, developing, maintaining, and improving vendor relationships as part of the Operational Compliance team. You will lead and/or actively support operational issue resolution and the development of new or improved Transfer Agency (TA)/Retirement system(s), products, and services. You will develop and enhance a network of business relationships inside and outside of American Century, while maintaining a deep knowledge of retirement plan types, features and regulations. This role will have you providing business and regulatory data analysis, while engaging with business partners to understand objectives and support solutions and outcomes. This role reports to the Operational Compliance Manager. This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City, MO office. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future. How You Will Make an Impact Develop, maintain, and improve the relationship with assigned Business Areas. Provide innovative ways of solving problems for business partners for production issues and new or enhanced products and services. Facilitate activities between business partners, Operational Compliance, IT partners, and vendors to maintain open channels of communication. Support other company or department initiatives as assigned. Execute and deliver capabilities. Gather requirements, create current/future state workflows to identify opportunities for improvement or STOP activities. Define and measure business value. Ability to gather, analyze, and draw practical conclusions from data. Analytical, technical or project management work that requires knowledge of fundamentals in the functional area. What You Bring to the Team (Required) Bachelor's degree required in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Crucial communication and task organization skills Sophisticated skill in computer usage and the ability to type 30 WPM minimum Ability to practice resiliency, flexibility, and relationship management Previous experience with transfer agency preferred. Previous Retirement Plan experience preferred. Mutual fund/Financial Services industry knowledge preferred. Retirement plan(s) regulatory knowledge preferred.
