Job Description:
Perform general entry-level labor in a feed mill environment
Clean and maintain work areas, including sweeping, washing, and managing feed spills
Assist with unloading ingredients from trucks and railcars
Support overall mill operations and maintain grounds (mowing, trimming, landscaping)
Use equipment such as air blowers, high-pressure hoses, and pallet-moving equipment (PIT)
Maintain housekeeping standards across all areas
Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and biosecurity guidelines
Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and operations staff
Complete additional tasks as assigned by management
Ability to work in various conditions (hot, cold, dusty, wet, outdoor environments)
Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks throughout the day
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs independently or up to 100 lbs with assistance
Able to stand, walk, climb ladders/stairs, and stay active for extended periods
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Ability to work at heights and follow strict safety protocols
Must wear required PPE (including ear protection)
Ability to operate or learn basic equipment (cleaning tools, landscaping equipment, PIT)
Must comply with company biosecurity rules (including restrictions related to avian species exposure)
