About the role
Primarily provides pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation. Duties & Responsibilities: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Contribute to consistent business growth by providing unique expertise. Cover all Fiber Optics labs product of VIAVI portfolio; OSA, Fiber Inspection Tools, power meter, Variable optical Attenuators, laser sources, IL/RL/PDL tester, Optical Amplifiers, Optical switches, swept wavelength systems, component analyzers, Tunable filters, Polarization controllers, Broadband sources C&L band etc. To work closely with customers R&D, NPI and manufacturing to provide optical testing solutions. Understand real customer requirements. Set right expectation. Propose the right solution and demonstrate compelling value of our products. Conduct product/solution demos and on-site trials, coordinating with Sales and Division. Conduct user training sessions for high-end products and help customers starting-up with testing. Create localized test procedure documents according to local customer needs. Transfer competencies and technologies to direct sales and channel partners (education). Present Products and Technology at targeted road shows/seminars in the region covered. Provide feedback to Division and contribute to their strategy preparation. Share experience and best practices with Sales, and Division. Collaboration with TAC, Sales and Division to solve Pre/post-sales problems in timely and efficient manner, to keep customer satisfaction high. Expect to spend most of the time onsite with end customers in Bangkok/Thailand Analyze gaps and propose action plan to fill it. Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
