Lead and coordinate the preparation of neonatal feedings, including human milk and specialized formulas, ensuring accuracy through precise calculations, adherence to established formulations, and aseptic technique
Train and support Milk Lab Technicians on preparation procedures, safety protocols, equipment use, and efficient workflow practices
Verify new or complex feeding orders with a registered dietitian and ensure appropriate standardized recipes are followed
Utilize clinical information systems to manage feeding orders, generate labels, and maintain production accuracy while demonstrating advanced competency with Milk Lab equipment and technology
Ensure proper storage and timely delivery of prepared feedings to designated unit refrigerators
Maintain strict sanitation standards within the Milk Lab, including cleaning and disinfection of workspaces, utensils, equipment, and storage areas
Maintain logs, audit records, and data tracking systems to support regulatory compliance and quality improvement initiatives
Lead workflow coordination and continuous process improvement efforts to uphold safety, efficiency, and high standards of neonatal nutrition care
