Overview of the role: Saputo is seeking a Sanitation, Senior Manager, for an existing opportunity within our organization. The Sanitation Senior Manager is responsible for supporting Sanitation Site Leads across plants. The role directly supports the Sanitation efforts as well as leads key projects at each of the assigned plants to achieve the sanitation goals of those facilities. In addition, the individual is a key thought leader and contributor to the operational efforts of the sanitation departments, driving best in class processes, tools, and harmonization across the assigned plants. This position is accountable to ensure adherence to SSOP, continuous improvement and all processes and initiatives within the sanitation department. This role requires approximately 25% travel within Canada. How you will make contributions that matter: Oversee sanitation operations at all assigned plants and determine the need for improvements in overall performance Lead initiatives to establish sanitation standards across all assigned plants Maintain strong relationships with chemical vendors and suppliers Drive and develop new sanitation training initiatives and Sanitation Standard Operational Procedures (SSOP) Support plant objectives pertaining to sanitation at assigned plants Ensure overall optimization of chemical, water and energy usage Support plants in developing corrective actions for NC identified during internal & external audits Facilitate the development and leadership of the Sanitation Site Leads at each assigned location Work with the plant on a yearly Sanitation Review Manage equipment fund from key chemical supplier You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications: Values that align with the Saputo culture Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field Minimum of 7 years of related sanitation experience within Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage industry Proven ability to lead, influence and inspire people and promote quality, safety, and teamwork Strong computer skills Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities Organization, mechanical aptitude, problem solving, decision and technical skills and experience with CIP systems. Adhering to established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, including rinsing, washing, and sanitizing equipment. Ability to evaluate sanitation processes including CIP, COP, and Sanitation Chemistry Attributes, determining the most efficient method of accomplishing each task and goal. Effective communication and analytical skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization The Sanitation Senior Manager is responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are manufactured in a sanitary production environment and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers.
