The Position
This intermediate IT Infrastructure Engineer independently solves a range of technical business problems and contributes to challenging projects requiring deep knowledge in their area. You will design, build, test, and implement resilient solutions, evaluate new technologies, and contribute to technical documentation and standards. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and consulting internal or external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
As an DDI Automation Engineer, your daily contributions will balance operational excellence with long-term engineering projects:
Automation Engineering: Transition manual workflows into scalable "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) models using modern scripting and automation frameworks.
Technical Problem Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex network incidents, performing root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Lifecycle Management: Support the full deployment lifecycle of BlueCat solutions, including the installation, configuration, and strategic upgrading of network components.
Infrastructure Optimization: Monitor and refine core DDI services to ensure 100% uptime and optimal network performance.
Scope / (Content Leadership): Skilled in solving a wide range of business problems with technology in creative and effective ways. Independently applies a complete understanding of theories and concepts from one's technical discipline to address difficult problems. Contributes to delivery in challenging projects and designs, builds, tests, and implements (first-time deployments) integrated, resilient, and reliable solutions.
Accountability/Problem Solving: Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques to solve a variety of problems of larger scope and complexity. Evaluates promising technologies across two or more areas via proofs of concept (PoCs) to assess feasibility for business needs. Stays aware of operational challenges, works with product teams to provide internal escalation support for resolving incidents, and produces/maintains documentation for end-to-end designs and component standards. Responsible for the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
Stakeholder Management: Communicates and presents complex information, issues, and potential solutions on assigned projects and to cross-functional teams. Networks with senior internal and external personnel within their area of expertise. Represents the organization on assigned projects and serves as a consultant to internal/external stakeholders on technical matters.
Impact/Strategy: Plays a lead role responsible for key deliverables on projects and influences the decisions and direction of the project. May lead small project teams and mentor/lead individuals in the workgroup. Ensures that solutions and components comply with Quality/Regulatory standards and that technology designs adhere to the organization's architectural strategy, policies, and direction.
Complexity / (Product Size): Demonstrates proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members and virtual teams from various locations and cultural backgrounds to achieve project or product goals.
Business / Technical ability: Demonstrates a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the technology area, with knowledge that is particularly deep in one area (e.g., network management, Platform Compute and Storage).
